Northwest Assistance Ministries is preparing for a busy summer season! Summer can be a difficult time for Houston-area residents. The break from school adds financial burdens of extra childcare expenses and providing meals that the children received while in school. Seniors on fixed incomes are already feeling the financial impact of the current economy and will soon have to deal with the choice between buying food and running the air conditioner to stay cool.

During the summer months, NAM sees a 50% increase in requests for food and assistance!

To prepare for the summer demand, NAM needs help from the community:

Food donations of cereal, peanut butter and jelly, canned goods and donations of toiletries are needed.

Financial donations are needed now as much as ever before.
